Janet Schafer is the Worship Director at Evangel Church in Norristown, PA, where she has faithfully led worship for over 20 years with a powerful blend of musical talent, spiritual sensitivity, and heartfelt leadership. As a gifted vocalist and pianist, Janet creates worship experiences that are both reverent and joyful, guiding the congregation into the presence of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Her leadership has shaped countless services and special programs—especially during Christmas, Easter, and other key moments in the church calendar—bringing the message of Christ to life through music. Janet’s passion for worship is deeply rooted in her belief that the Holy Spirit is the ultimate guide for every musical moment, and she continually seeks to be a vessel for God’s presence in every note and lyric.

In addition to her ministry at Evangel, Janet is a seasoned educator who has served in the Norristown Area School District for 30 years. Her lifelong commitment to teaching and mentoring has carried over into her worship ministry, where she pours into her team and helps raise up the next generation of worship leaders.

Janet’s life is guided by Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” This verse shapes both her personal walk and her ministry, reminding her daily to rely on God’s leading.
